The synaptics touchpad driver obviously contains support for the ALPS touchpad build into Fujitsu-Siemens C-series lifebooks.
With this driver it is possible to emulate a horizontal and a vertical scroll wheel: when sliding on the right or bottem edge of the touchpad, additional mouse key events are generated which can be mapped on scroll actions.
Furthermore, the driver allows several options of the touchpad to be tuned. With this driver, all hardware of the lifebook is fully supported with Linux. Hurray.
